Artist's Comments

Holy crap on a stick I'm submitting something.

Well this is part of a project that's a long time coming... This isn't a scene in the project at all, I just wanted to show off the model :P Well that and get a bit of practice in studio rendering.

Crits welcome :)

~Autodesk Maya, MentalRay

Edit: I've made a few adjustments, both to lighting and the model itself. Nothing too major, just a couple of things that were bugging me.

This will also now be available as a print, in reasonable sizes, though I may render a bigger image to get larger sizes... we'll see.

Previous version in my scraps, HERE

I used Maya 2008 and MentalRay for this one.

I only know a couple people on dA, but what would you like to know?

great you are a 3D artist,
well I am developing a script, for a war epic, have been collecting input from various set of people,
i visualize it to be on teh nes f 300, and may be it can be taken into 3D like Beowulf, we are in an early stage, i.e; writing,
but would wantknwo tipeline details in developing characters for 3D animation,
this will help develop the production script more practically helping the team when we get into post production,
It would eb great if you can leave an e-mail id, i will send you more details, you could help th soem inputs, :) cheers,

very nice man! make it a bit lighter as some of the detail is lost in this image as it is too dark!

sort that out and you have a winning render!
